Thank you all for your patience and cooperation as we work to prevent the spread of COVID-19 into our institutions. We understand this is a very uncertain time, especially for those of you who receive these updates. You are all affected by what we are doing, whether you work or volunteer in state prison, or have loved ones inside. We are doing all we can to keep you updated while also allowing our health care and custody professionals the space to do their jobs effectively.

There are no significant updates today; however, the Communications team has updated our Frequently Asked Questions based on questions we have received via the newly activated covid19@cdcr.ca.gov email address.

Unprecedented changes are being implemented in order to protect all those who live and work inside our state correctional facilities. We will continue to make changes to our operations based on the most updated guidance from government and public health officials. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this evolving situation. Please stay tuned to our (CDCR’s) COVID-19 website for the most current information.
